Composum

Composum is a modular, open-source content management and development framework built on Apache Sling. Designed with flexibility and scalability in mind, it provides essential tools to create, manage, and deploy enterprise-grade web applications. At its core is the **Composum Pages** module, which functions as a fully featured CMS equipped with a powerful user interface for content editing and theme development. This enables content teams and developers to work collaboratively on complex websites with structured page management and visual editing capabilities. Composum also includes other modules like **Nodes** for repository access, **Platform** for release delivery and access management, and **Workflow** for designing and tracking tasks through visual processes. A highlight of Composum is its **Tenants** module, which supports multi-tenancy, allowing isolated content environments for different organizations or divisions within the same platform—each with unique roles and permissions. The system supports cloud-based trials through **Composum Cloud**, where users can request their own tenant and start building websites directly. Though the **Assets** module is still under development, it aims to handle responsive image preparation and asset delivery in the future.
