iBOS

iBOS is an intelligent Building Operating System from Nordomatic designed to connect existing Building Management Systems (BMS), building controls and smart-building applications into a secure, cloud-connected ecosystem. Its primary purpose is to give property and facility teams centralized visibility and control while improving building performance, energy efficiency, indoor comfort and sustainability. The iBOS family includes iBOS nexus, a secure edge gateway; iBOS connect, a cloud integration and application platform; and iBOS energy, an AI-driven application for HVAC and energy optimization. Features include centralized access to multiple buildings and BMS suppliers, one-click remote access, a customizable digital twin, IoT connectivity, real-time dashboards, historical analysis, energy alarms, automated HVAC optimization, weather-based energy planning and thermal-storage modelling. iBOS connect is designed as a “single pane of glass,” allowing facility managers to manage multiple systems without separate VPN connections, while its application marketplace supports additional building applications. The platform is cloud-based but also uses an on-site industrial edge gateway, with isolated Ethernet connections and secure authentication to protect building networks.
