IremboGov is Rwanda’s official national e‑government platform built to make accessing public services simple, fast and affordable for citizens, residents and even foreigners by putting dozens of government interactions online in one place instead of forcing people to queue at offices and fill out paper forms. Launched in 2015 as part of Rwanda’s broader digital transformation strategy, the platform lets users apply for more than 200 public services from over 30 government institutions — from civil registration tasks like birth, marriage and single‑status certificates to travel clearances, consular services, business licences, land and tax services, and more — all through a unified web portal, mobile app or even USSD for basic phones, with real‑time status tracking and secure digital payments. Because services and documents are delivered electronically, many processes that once took several days now complete in a fraction of the time, and citizens can store and reuse certified documents without repeated uploads. IremboGov also integrates digital identity verification and multiple payment channels to support inclusive access, while analytics and reporting help government agencies improve service delivery.
