PureSync

PureSync is a Windows-based file synchronization and backup utility designed primarily for individuals, small businesses, and IT users who need automated file and folder protection rather than full-system or cloud backup. It supports local drives, external USB storage, NAS and network folders, servers, FTP, WebDAV, and other supported devices, with features including scheduled or event-triggered backups, mirror backups, multiple backup versions, file filtering, conflict detection, comparison before synchronization, selective restoration, email notifications, Volume Shadow Copy, and copying of open or locked files in the Professional edition. Its interface is generally considered easy to understand, with wizards, a useful comparison view, detailed logs, and Windows Explorer integration; PCWorld found normal file transfers to be reliable and performed well, while user comments also praise its speed, clarity, flexibility, and ease of use. However, the software has had some job-creation, Explorer-integration, device-sync, and automation glitches, and recent release notes show that several bugs have required fixes, so reliability is good for ordinary transfers but not entirely flawless.
