RevenueTrack™ from Progressive Solutions is a specialized software designed for municipalities and local governments to recover lost or misallocated revenue — such as unreported business taxes, use taxes, property taxes, utility taxes, and various fees. The real strength lies in its automation: once configured, it can automatically identify potentially non-compliant or overlooked accounts, generate invoices, manage delinquency, and handle receivables — drastically reducing manual workload for overstretched city finance departments. Because it integrates tightly with the vendor’s existing licensing and payment modules (e.g. LicenseTrack™ and PaymentCentral™), it enables municipalities to maintain a unified, streamlined workflow from licensing through tax/fee collection. The contingent-fee pricing model (12.5% of recovered revenue) makes RevenueTrack™ financially attractive — there’s minimal upfront cost and the risk is largely shifted to the vendor. On the downside, the software is a legacy-style Windows client-server application using ODBC and MS SQL, which may seem dated and limit flexibility compared to modern cloud-based SaaS. Its U.S.-centric design and tax/fee categories may make adoption outside the U.S. difficult.
