WhisperReporter is a long-standing property inspection software built for inspectors who need deep customization and flexible reporting. One of its strongest qualities is its ability to create virtually any report layout, thanks to a fully customizable interface and an integrated word processor that includes spellcheck, autocorrect, and a thesaurus. Inspectors can insert frequently used comments, embed picklists, and even cloak text, making report writing faster and more efficient. The automatic scaling of digital images with text wrap-around and the built-in PDF creator with bookmarking further enhance the presentation and delivery of reports. Another highlight is WhisperReporter’s integration with the Inspection Support Network (ISN), which streamlines workflow for professionals already using that ecosystem. Features like signature capture and auto-generated summaries add to its practicality for real-world inspections. However, the software shows its age. It relies on older development technology and only runs on Windows—Mac users must use Parallels or VMWare. While still supported, the company has stopped selling this version as of April 2025, directing users toward WhisperReporter Ascent instead.
