Sensivo

Sensivo uses a spreadsheet-like interface, familiar to many researchers, for entering and modifying data. This offers a flexible and intuitive way to work with data, similar to programs like Excel or Google Sheets. It likely includes features for copying, pasting, sorting, and filtering data within the spreadsheet view.

Privacy is a core principle in Sensivo's design. This means that data protection and privacy considerations are integrated into every aspect of the platform's development and operation.

Personal identifiers (like names or addresses) are replaced with pseudonyms, making it more difficult to link data back to specific individuals. This is a key technique for protecting privacy while still allowing researchers to analyze data.

Different users are assigned different roles with varying levels of access to the data. This ensures that only authorized personnel can view or modify sensitive information, limiting the risk of unauthorized access or data breaches.

Storing data within the EU, specifically in Sweden, helps ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and avoids potential conflicts with non-EU data privacy laws. This also addresses concerns some researchers might have about data being subject to laws like the US CLOUD Act.

Data transmitted between the user's computer and Sensivo's servers is encrypted using a strong 256-bit encryption, protecting it from interception during transmission.

Data stored on Sensivo's servers is also encrypted, adding another layer of security in case of unauthorized physical access to the servers.

Users are required to provide two forms of identification (e.g., password and a code sent to their phone) to log in, adding an extra layer of security and making it much harder for unauthorized access even if a password is compromised.

Sensivo enforces strong password policies, requiring users to create passwords that meet certain criteria (length, complexity, character types) to minimize the risk of weak or easily guessed passwords.

Data is regularly backed up to protect against data loss due to hardware failure, accidental deletion, or other unforeseen events.

Sensivo has clear policies regarding how long data is stored. Data is retained for the duration of the customer's contract and deleted when the contract ends or upon the customer's request.
