Two Dog Software, through the combined power of OfficeDog and PocketDog, provided a specialized solution for forest inventory and natural resource management. Developed by foresters since 1993, the system enabled precise timber valuations and analysis across three hierarchical levels: Point, Stand, and Tract. OfficeDog managed inventory design, setup, and report generation, delivering stand-level summaries and detailed statistics essential for informed resource management decisions. The software’s two-part deployment was key to its utility, bridging office processing and field data collection. OfficeDog ran on Windows-based PCs, offering extensive customization and deep reporting capabilities, while PocketDog operated on Windows Mobile handheld devices, allowing managers to collect data in the field and receive immediate volume and value summaries. This seamless synchronization supported timely, effective decision-making in remote forestry environments. Historically, the software used a one-time licensing model. However, all sales are permanently suspended as of March 31, 2025. Support for OfficeDog and PocketDog will continue only until December 31, 2025. For final licensing questions or inquiries, users should contact twodog@fwforestry.net. This marks the conclusion of the product line’s decades-long service to the forestry industry.
