movacal.net is a cloud-based electronic medical record system developed for home-healthcare providers in Japan. The product is designed to meet the needs of visiting nursing stations, clinics that perform home visits, elderly care contexts, and recovery- or chronic-care hospitals. One of its core strengths is its recent integration of artificial intelligence and voice technologies to reduce administrative burden on medical staff. For example, users can generate visiting nursing instruction documents semi-automatically using patient data and previous templates, via an AI assist option. Similarly, an integration with a service called “medimo” allows voice input and real-time summarization of conversations or examinations, which can then be inserted directly into the medical chart form, saving time that would otherwise be spent on manual entry and revision.
