Planning Poker

Planning Poker is an agile estimation tool developed by Mountain Goat Software to support Scrum teams in collaboratively estimating user stories. It is based on the widely used Planning Poker technique, where team members independently assign effort estimates using a Fibonacci-like sequence, then reveal and discuss their choices to reach a consensus. This structured approach helps reduce bias, encourages discussion, and improves shared understanding of project requirements. The tool is primarily designed for software development teams, including developers, testers, analysts, and product owners, enabling cross-functional participation in estimation sessions.
