SecureNAS

SecureNAS by Ciphertex is a range of hardware-encrypted network-attached storage (NAS) systems designed to provide secure, high-capacity data storage, backup, and file sharing for businesses and organisations. Unlike conventional NAS devices, SecureNAS combines enterprise storage capabilities with hardware-based encryption and rugged, portable enclosures, making it suitable for environments where data protection and mobility are important. Key features include centralised network storage, secure file sharing, automated backup, disaster recovery, private cloud storage, data archiving, and virtualisation support. Its security capabilities include AES-256 encryption, FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified hardware encryption keys, multi-factor authentication, instant secure erase, USB blocking, and secure volume management. The systems use Ciphertex's pre-installed operating system, which incorporates ZFS technology for data integrity, storage management, RAIDZ configurations, and protection against data corruption. Depending on the model, SecureNAS supports HDD, SSD, or NVMe storage, with capacities ranging from several terabytes to hundreds of terabytes. Other capabilities include hot-swappable drives, high-speed 10GbE networking, remote data synchronisation through Rsync, user and group management, drive health monitoring, system status notifications, and storage expansion.
