Omni basket

Omnibasket is a developer-focused integration platform for GK Software’s cloud-based retail ecosystem, designed to extend traditional point-of-sale functionality to mobile, web, smart-car and other customer touchpoints. Its primary purpose is to allow developers and retailers to connect external applications with GK’s retail business logic through two main approaches: App Enablement, which creates web plug-ins that communicate with the in-store POS through a JavaScript bridge, and Service API, which exposes remote web services for building new clients or embedding specific retail functions into existing applications. Key capabilities include REST APIs, POS extensions, customer recommendations, clienteling, time and attendance, product information, transaction and basket services, API documentation, Swagger and Postman collections, and a sandbox development environment. The platform is highly integration-oriented rather than a conventional end-user application, with GK OmniPOS using HTML5/CSS interfaces and documented APIs that support flexible customization without directly modifying the core POS system.
